Guiding Principles

Implemented With Four Divine Abodes Life Enhancing Principles

I

Unlimited compassion

II

Unlimited loving kindness

III

Sympathetic joy

IV

Equanimity

It is said that: These four states of mind provide in fact the answer to all situations arising from social contact. They are the great removers of tension, the great peacemakers in social conflict, the great healers of wounds-suffered in the struggle of existence, levelers of social barriers, Builders of harmonious communities, awakeners of slumbering magnanimity long forgotten, revivers of joy long abandoned, promoters of human brotherhood against the forces of egotism.

What We Do

Our Areas of Humanitarian and Sustainable Development Work

Children and Youth Development

Food, shelter, clothing, health care and education for homeless and orphaned children, in our local communities and around the world.

Housing and Sustainable Communities

Shelter for those without it, and self-sustaining chapters and centers built so that a community can support itself rather than depend on aid.

Organic Agriculture and Food Security

Self-sustaining food programs and organic farming, aimed at eradicating hunger at its source rather than relieving it season by season.

Health Care and Preventive Wellness

Access to good health care, including holistic and native medicine traditions, and the preventive wellness practices that keep people out of crisis.

Education and Vocational Training

Quality education for all children, plus the skills training that turns education into employment and breaks the cycle of generational poverty.

Elder Care and Senior Wellness

Care and dignity for elders, who together with children we consider our most valuable treasure.

Environmental Sustainability and Reforestation

Environmental stewardship, tree planting and conservation, so that the communities we help are still liveable for the generation after them.

Renewable Energy and Clean Water

Solar and renewable energy, and access to clean, sustainable water — the two utilities a self-sustaining community cannot do without.

Global Peace and Cultural Understanding

Restoring cultural core values and promoting global peace through the knowledge of understanding and respect between nations and cultures.
