The Founder, CEO, Chairman of Helping Hands Inc., has more than 45 years of multifaceted experiences that feature overlapping experiences of more than 38 years of non-profit philanthropy and humanitarian charity work, 15 years in the Aviation industry,14 years of business management, she is a Humanitarian leader, Diversity Specialist, Public Speaker a practicing International social welfare worker, frequently giving speeches at Peace Conferences around the world, UN.
Conferences credited and received awards, including special awards from World Women’s Economic Forum, World Peace Conference, Calcutta, India for her outstanding global work and contributing for policy making, credited by UN Ambassadors and world leaders, and loved by the people for her compassion and kindness and her continuous endeavors of making the world a better place.
Kaushalya, the Minister of Peace founded Helping Hands Inc. (HHI) in 2001, a nonprofit global organization in the United States of America, to have a global platform to address extreme cycle of poverty, hunger, disease, , homelessness, while promoting quality education for all children, safety and security, environmental sustainability, organic farming, good health care through holistic medicines, also embody basic human rights, the right to live in peace and harmony among all through the knowledge of understanding and the respect for one another’s culture and core values. She has spent her life devoted to bringing global peace through humanitarian efforts, while continuing to align her global Humanitarian efforts with the UN Charters and theSustainable Development goals for an improved and a safer world for all.
Personal Background
The Hon. Kaushalya Siriwardana’s ancestors from her paternal side, The Kshatriya family, ruled for four hundred years in Middle India. Her late mother was Panditha Sujatha Hettiarachchi Nadarajah, a highly respected distinguished and accredited author and renowned poet, her last book was a Master Piece “The Light of the Ten-Thousand-fold World System”. Belonging to one of the oldest and most Aristocratic families in Sri Lanka, through both her parent’s lineage, enabled Hon:
Minister of Peace to travel extensively as a child, and as well as an adult, throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America, in which she was received by many leaders during her visits. Through her widespread travel she learned how valuable sustainability is.
Her studies included education with AA Flagship University and an Aviation Academy in the United States, and Bharathiya Vidhiya Bhavan in India for Fine Arts, self-educated, ethnology and spirituality, no limits for Compassion and kindness, and on her way to receiving her Doctorate. She continues to deepen her knowledge in ancient yoga, Sanskrit and native medicines, and furthers her research in ancient scriptures of Buddhist philosophy in Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Thailand, Nepal and India. She further campaigns to co-create peace through the knowledge of understanding and learning of each other’s culture and respect for their cultural core values, she feels that the knowledge will bring harmony and kindness towards one another.
The Honorable Kaushalya’s volunteer work for homeless children in various countries and her involvement with educational organizations demonstrates her real empathy for people all over the world. She has served and continues to serve as an honorary officer to many Global Organizations Including for the City of Garland, Texas, The Multicultural Commission Board, as International Advisor for the World Yoga Foundation, Advisor for Peace Now Foundation and to the United
Nation: –DPI NGO as a UN representative for many years and will continue in the future.
