ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF HELPING HANDS INC.

The Honorable Kaushalya Siriwardana (Minister of Peace Principality Monte de Agrella), a native of Sri Lanka, founded Helping Hands Inc. in 2003. Kaushalya has worked tirelessly to bring attention to the needs of impoverished children throughout the world. She saw firsthand, the disastrous conditions of poverty and the manner in which it can harm the lives of children who have experienced it. As a child she would freely share all she had with the disadvantaged children and the needy within her young grasp. That generous heart and genuine love for children is what continues to fuel her passion.

Although she has been a citizen of the United States for over 30 years, Kaushalya has never forgotten what she saw during her early years. She has made it her life’s mission to combat these conditions and help children across the globe toward a brighter future.

MESSAGE FROM  HON: KAUSHALYA SIRIWARDANA

Dear Friends and Fellow Humanitarians,

The Dallas County Homeless Consortium Survey reported 5,869 people homeless, 769 of whom are innocent children. Sadly, as the years have gone by, these statistics have only increased exponentially. Recognizing that each statistic represents a human being, Helping Hands Inc. was formed as a necessary response to this growing problem. We are a non-profit, non-political, non-religious 501(c)(3)organization working out of Garland, Texas, USA whose mission is to provide food, shelter, clothing, education, and medical care to homeless and destitute children and their families, regardless of culture or creed.

Helping Hands Inc. was formed to address the needs of children, empowering them to live lives filled with courage, happiness and knowledge. Children are the world’s most valuable treasure and the key to a brighter tomorrow.

We graciously ask you to support our global mission of bettering the lives of our precious global children by sponsoring this important project to fruition. The monies raised will go directly to fund the Helping Hands Inc. mission, HHI global chapters, the Global Center in Texas and the programs it will offer to the local and surrounding communities. Please honor us with your participation by providing funds or gifts in kind. When the Global Center is open, please continue to support our effort to provide children that may otherwise be homeless, hungry or in need of medical assistance, or whose parents may need assistance during difficult times. You can play an active role with Helping Hands Inc. to allow them to obtain a better way of life.
